The Little Lambs

The Little Lambs is the group of the children aged between 0 and 2 years old.



Babies need to eat between 5 and 6 times a day. They eat milk and rice porridge. As a volunteer, if you want to work with the babies, you could help the local staff to feed them, it is a privileged moment to share with them and it is perfect to initiate the relationship with them.

 

They go to sleep at 10:00am and 7:00pm so please do not come just before these times because they will be excited to see you and it will be difficult for them to go to sleep, but if you come at 9:00am for example it is perfect because you can play with them before and then help the local staff to make them ready for the bedtime.

 

When you play with the babies, it is important to keep in mind that a baby never cry with no reason. So if a baby cry, try to understand why it is crying. Perhaps its diaper needs to be changed, or the baby is thirsty, or it needs affection.

 

Babies are little persons, it is not because they cannot speak to express themselves that they do not understand. Like you, they have feelings, they can feel injustice, abandon, insecurity, fear,... as much as they can feel happyness, trust, love,... So please keep in mind that they are looking at everything you do and they interpret it. 

 

Between 0 and 2 years old, a baby starts to awaken its mind and body. It likes touching things, moving, listening to different noises, voices and musics... There are so manythings to do with them in order to help them grow up ! Visit our forum to discover and share activities to do with them.
